What We Do
Connecting Two Realms
Our inspiration stems from two dynamic spaces established by Rabindranath Tagore nearly a century ago: Santiniketan, which emphasizes holistic education, and Sriniketan, which is dedicated to social reform. Both centers are founded on the principles of humanism and compassion, effectively transforming visionary concepts into meaningful, actionable outcomes.
Sishutirtha mirrors these ideals through two main entities: The Ashram, which channels the spirit of Sriniketan, and The School, embodying Santiniketan’s educational ethos. Together, these two entities represent a sincere effort to live out Tagore’s legacy, fostering gender neutrality, equity, inclusivity and climate awareness.
The Ashram
Our home for less privileged children, where we are committed to social reform through education and vocational training. Inspired by the ethos of Sriniketan, we focus on empowering our children with skills they need to build a promising future.
The School
Our school, established in 2019, to support our Ashram and centered on child education following the ethos of Santiniketan. We have integrated Tagore’s educational philosophy with modern pedagogy, adhering to the CBSE curriculum.
